  1. 1

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place on one side of the baking sheet, skin-side down.

  4. 4

Spread 1 tablespoon of the garlic herb butter on top of each salmon fillet.

  5. 5

Trim asparagus ends and place on the other side of the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

  6. 6

Bake for 12-15 minutes, until salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F and flakes easily with a fork.

  7. 7

Remove from oven and let rest for 2 minutes. Garnish with extra lemon wedges and fresh herbs.

  8. 8

    Serve immediately while hot.

Cooking tips

  • Don't overcook! Salmon should be slightly translucent in the very center when you remove it from the oven. It will finish cooking from residual heat.
  • For crispier asparagus, broil for the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  • Leftover herb butter can be stored in the fridge for up to a week and used on other fish or vegetables.
  • Choose wild-caught salmon for higher omega-3 content and better flavor.
